The Heart of Palombo's

For December’s Taste the Spotlight, we’re featuring Palombo's Italian Restaurant — a North Canton favorite that’s earned its reputation as a Community Choice winner for Best Italian with every plate they serve.

From hearty classics like pasta dinners and house favorites to the kind of comfort food that keeps generations coming back, Palombo’s is all about big flavor, generous portions, and that “welcome home” hospitality. They’re also famous for their Ribs Burnoffs — a local-loved tradition 

that brings the community together for smoky, saucy, fall-off-the-bone goodness and a whole lot of fun.

We sat down with Amanda to talk about what makes Palombo’s so special: family roots, loyal regulars, and a team that takes pride in doing things the right way — the same way they have for decades.

The Barrel Room on Canal & Sully's Speakeasy

The Nook - Up in Smoke Barbeque

Kozmo's Grille - Local Neighborhood Favorite

Kozmo’s is one of my favorite spots, where you can meet both locals and visitors, all enjoying the warm, pub-like atmosphere.  Kozmo's Grille is 'Just Different Enough!' Located in a renovated 150 year old building in the heart of downtown Massillon, Kozmo's features a warm and comfortable atmosphere with natural brick walls, wood floors and tin ceilings. They feature a classic American bistro menu at casual prices. Their selections include hearth stone baked pizzas, homemade soups, sandwiches, and salads as well as steaks, chops, seafood, pastas, and comfort food. Tim's Tavern - Famous for Fish

This month during Lenton season, Taste the Spotlight features Tim’s Tavern, a Canton staple known for its legendary hand-breaded fish and scratch-made comfort food. Now owned by the Sullivan family, Tim’s Tavern—formerly owned by the Triner family—has been "Famous for Fish Since 1957". Known for serving the area's finest beer-battered cod, Tim’s also offers a wide variety of broasted chicken, steaks, salads, and sandwiches.
